Dunn/Robbins worked with Wine Enthusiast for over a decade, beginning in 1999, and continuing through 2010.
Wine Star Awards
In 1999, we helped plan the first Wine Star Awards Dinner. This has turned into one of the most respected events in the industry — going from the 2000 event, with four awards and 150 people in a restaurant, to 2010’s eleven awards, and 430 people at the New York Public Library. Responsibilities included communication with all award winners; speech writing and coaching; video creation and editing; and the smooth functioning of the event itself, with all A/V and catering cues.
Toast of the Town
We also helped plan and implement this very successful, sold-out consumer event, beginning in 2004. Originally held in New York City, by 2010 it was also produced in San Francisco, Atlanta, Chicago and Washington DC. In addition to recruiting an average of 30 top restaurants per city, we ran the on-site logistics, to ensure smooth operation of everything from load-in to breakdown.
Restaurant Wine Awards
In 2004, we helped plan the First Annual Wine Enthusiast Restaurant Awards Program, assisting in the creation of the application; the recruitment of restaurants and judges; serving as a judge, reviewing applications, and analyzing trends in an overview article for the special Wine Awards February issue.
Corporate Public Relations & Marketing
We wrote/edited corporate press releases and sales releases as well as helped to produce company videos (script writing, voice over and editing).
